libtrace-tools software package provides helper utilities for use with the libtrace process library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libtrace-tools
libtrace-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libtrace-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libtrace-tools *
You will get with libtrace-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
